Founders Story
After spending over 25 years living in Harrogate and embracing everything this historic spa town has to offer, Youcef Scott felt inspired to share its charm with the wider world. From locally run coffee shops and community-driven boutiques to award-winning gardens and landscapes, Harrogate has always held a special place in his heart.
In 2016, Youcef purchased his first apartment, a unique conversion in a refurbished church near the conference centre, just as Airbnb was beginning to take off. What started as a personal venture soon grew into a passion for hospitality and showcasing Harrogate’s hidden gems through thoughtfully prepared short stays.
Nearly a decade later, Youcef has expanded his vision into a trusted management business, helping homeowners open their doors to guests from around the world.
Today, Short Stay Harrogate proudly remains a family-run business, with Youcef joined by his brother Isaac and sister-in-law Kelsey in creating memorable stays that reflect both the beauty of Harrogate and the warmth of its people.
