The Knaresborough Christmas Tree returns for another year. Every year seventy Christmas trees decorated by local groups and businesses, are displayed in the beautiful St. Johns Church in the heart of Knaresborough.

Storytime with Father Christmas has timed sessions throughout the day, the first three weekends of December, 3rd – 18th. All the details are online and early booking is recommended to avoid disappointment because the event does tend to sell out.

The annual Harrogate Christmas Concert takes place at Harrogate Convention Centre featuring festive music by Harrogate Symphony Orchestra Harrogate Choral Society and over 300 children from local primary schools.

Come and hear the brass bands, carol singers and seasonal entertainers too, who bring a lovely atmosphere to enjoy. The narrow cobbled streets are lined with festively decorated shops, from butchers, bakers and candle makers to picture galleries and antique sellers.

Come to Crimple to visit Santa's magical grotto, hidden away in our secret garden. Visit includes 15 minutes with Santa and an age appropriate toy, carefully selected by our Crimple elves.

The annual carol service in the cellarium at Fountains Abbey returns. Numbers are limited so collect your ticket to join the service from the marquee near Porter’s Lodge from 1pm (first come-first served).

The artisan market will feature around 60 local traders and producers who will sell a variety of festive arts and crafts, clothing, homeware, jewellery, as well as locally produced food and drink.

The very talented Fell-Foss Theatre Company and our own community performers will tell the story of real-life historical characters as they explore how paupers and staff celebrated Christmas together.

With a two course supper in Rudding House to follow, it’s the perfect start to the festive season and is sure to get you in the mood for the carol season!

The big annual finale to the ever popular Knaresborough Christmas Market Weekend is a professional fireworks display over the River Nidd.
